Our terrific Grandson and our Sweet Granddaughter!!!
him and of course we think he's the best in every sport he participates in!!
He's a real "go getter" We love you Ryan and are proud that you are our
Grandson. Keep up the good work!!
Love,
Papa and Nannie
This is Amanda. She is a very
loving girl. I can't say "little"
as she is growing up
so fast. A Jr High
Cheerleader and on the
go all the time. The Johnson's
are so busy, so active. And I
wonder how I did it with 5.
I think life was a bit slower
in those days. Although her
Mom, Michele, was just as
active. We are very proud of them.

Jason and Amber
"State Of The Union"
of
Ted & Judy
I don't usually write anything about Ted and I. I think our major accomplishment is that we have been happily married for 51 yrs. For the most part we have been healthy. Ted is beginning to have a few problems. This has really made us stop and think of our future. I say if Ted has the faith that all will be well then I have faith in Him. This was brought home by his contracting shingles the end of September then Dec 17th he went in to have a cancerous basil cell carcinoma removed from his neck. The Dr was able to remove it all and we are thankful for that. Almost 3 weeks ago he began to feel sluggish and along with the usual pain and aggravation we realized that it is a positive that he has to slow down and begin retiring from his Construction Business that he has had for 45 yrs. He had a pretty difficult 3 weeks and went out today and says he feels pretty good. Sometimes in one's life it takes something like the past 3 wks to make one realize NOW IS THE TIME!! He had been phasing out his business for quite sometime. So, a New Year and a new beginning of something entirely new to him. Not getting up at 5 AM and being out for up to 8hrs+ He says "I have to go out and get out of your hair Mom." Not so!! We do our own thing and realize that "retirement" can be quite pleasant. It's amazing how "freedom" to not HAVE to do a thing he doesn't want to do is so calming. This has been a long time coming and we are growing closer and closer to one another. When I ran across the song "Through The Years" by Kenny Rogers.. I thought this is so true. It describes us! to a "T"!

I have come to the conclusion that Ted and I are now "Senior Citizens" And, I am not seeing many that have a Blog. Soo, as Grandparents, we have lots of options. We can include any or all of our favorite photos of our 5 Children, Terri, Kevin, Robyn, Jeff & Michele..and our 14 Grandchildren.. Stacy, Brittany, Jason, CJ, Heath, Jordan, Shane, (this is the tricky part, Terri will probably correct me on the order of their birth lol) Bobby, Lindsey, Amanda, Ryan, Sami, Jake & Brenden. Woohoo, I believe I have it. :) I am in the process of "uncluttering" my Family Room and taking down photos to be combined in a collage frame. I love to slide the back of the frame off and see all of the past photos. The are all so darn cute. I also have the privilege of saying that..Today I will start with one of the cutest (among so many) of No 1 Grandson, Jason in the 8th Grade. He was in the Brimhall Band and carrying on a family tradition of playing the Sax. His mom played and his Grandpa Ted did also. ( Of course, Grandpa tells the story of having to walk a "thousand" miles uphill home from school each day carrying his Sax Case. A bit of an exaggeration I suspect!
